So after Yani Tseng set the pace at this last major with an ten shot victory at the age of 22 she became the youngest player in the LPGA history with four majors to her name will now have to wait two weeks in order to try to add a fifth major to her list when they play the Women`s US Open on July 7th.

The tournament this year will be aired the first two days on ESPN2 and the weekend coverage will be shown on NBC starting at 3pm eastern to 6pm eastern. This year they will host the US OPEN at The Broadmoor on its East Course in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the course layout is a par 71 and will measure 7,047 yards yes you would think that is a long course for the women to play, but due to the high altitude the ball carries a long way and will not play even close to that yardage.

Last year it was Paula Creamer that won the event with a score of 72-70-70-69 that left her at three under par for the tournament and that was good enough for her to win by four strokes over Na Yeon Choi and Suzann Pettersen. If Paula Creamer hopes to repeat this year she will first of all need to play her best game and then hope that Yani Tseng does not keep the pace she has this year because not only does she hit it long, but she is also a straight driver of the ball. The Broadmoor was host to the US Open once before in 1995 which was the year Annika Sorenstam won her first of three US OPENS, she also won the following year in Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club and her third and final victory came in 2006 when she won in a playoff at the Newport Country Club located in Rhode Island. One thing that is common for the US OPEN is for scores not to be too low but with Tseng in the field and firing on all cylinders that might change this year.
