Tuesday the 12th of July will be the second time the Washington Mystics play the defending champions the Seattle Storm, the game will be played at 3pm eastern time at the Seattle Strom arena which is called KeyArena. The first game between these two teams this season was played at Washington on July 3rd and that game ended with a final score of 73-63 in favor of the defending champions.

The only reason why the Mystics lost that game at home was due to the simple fact that in the second quarter they simply did not show up and only managed to score nine points and the Storm put up seventeen points that was the difference in the game because all the other quarters the two teams looked to match each other. It was interesting to see the stats of the two teams the Seattle Storm shot 47.368% from the field and the Mystics were only shooting 31.884% from the field, the shooting percentage was the main difference for the final result of the game. The reason why I say this is because the Storm had more turnovers than the Mystics and the Mystics had more steals and five less fouls. So this game could and probably should have gone the Mystics way, but due to their poor shooting which really let them down in the second quarter was why they lost, because in all the other aspects they were at the same level as the Storm and even better in some stats. The two teams played twice last year with each team taking home a win over the other team, the first game was played May 25th at Seattle and the Storm took advantage of the home court advantage to win 82-76. They then faced each other again on August 15th when they played in Washington and once again it was the home team that proved too strong for its opponent winning 73-63. It will be interesting to see what Tuesday has in store for us but if we follow the stats it should be the Seattle Storm that walks away with the win since they are playing at home.
