The England Women’s Football team begin their campaign tomorrow to win the biggest event in female football, the World Cup. The squad is a particularly strong one and the Football Association have expressed great hopes that their girls will go on to victory. First they must advance from a tough group of Mexico, Japan and New Zealand.

If they do, then they face stiff competition from the hosts Germany who are the reigning champions. Germany, who cruised to victory in China 4 years ago, are looking strong to retain their title and look the team to beat if any country wants to get their hands on the prize. England start the tournament against Mexico. The South Americans are hoping to put in a good performance after the emergence of the Woman’s game in the country.

Woman’s Football is the fastest growing sport in the world and the game is often underestimated by large swaths of society.
