One of the closest championship fights of the year took place this last Saturday February 26, 2011. In a battle of two of the best fighters in mixed martial arts, the judges couldn’t pick a winner: Jon Fitch and B.J. Penn fought to a majority draw at UFC 127.
One judge scored it 29-28 for Fitch, but the other two judges scored it 28-28, and those two judges made it a majority draw. This is the second time in three UFC pay-per-views this year that the main event has been scored a draw. T

If Cotto wins, Bob Arum (Cotto’s promoter) is planning for him to face Antonio Margarito in a rematch in June. Margarito stopped Cotto in the 11th round of a welterweight title fight in July 2008. In his next fight, Margarito was caught trying to enter the ring against Mosley with loaded hand wraps. He was subsequently suspended and didn’t fight for more than a year. Many believe Margarito got away with facing Cotto with illegal gloves.

Jason Terry came into the season promising to win back the Sixth Man of the Year award that Atlanta’s Jamal Crawford claimed last season. Terry, of course, brought that title to Dallas the previous campaign.
He looks like a pretty good bet to win it back going into the All-Star break. He went into Wednesday averaging 15.9 points this season, but is on a tear in February.
