The irrepresible Barcelona are 4/7 with Paddy Power to win La Liga and defend their title and three points against Villarreal would be an ideal start; Betfred going 2/7 for the Catalan club to win.

Villarreal have 2 draws in their last 3 visits to Camp Nou and another on Monday is 5/1 with Coral (Victor Chandler going 12/1 for a Villarreal win) but last seasons 3-1 defeat is just a sign of things to come. Yellow Submarine have lost some good players over the summer including Joan Capdevila and playmaker Santi Cazorla and financial constraints mean defender Cristian Zapata is the main acquisition.

The San Francisco Giants are a light hitting team but that could be about to change as they have signed Carlos Beltran from the New York Mets and he starts tonight. In the previous two matches of the series the score is locked at one all. These two sides met in the World Series last year and they are both having good season’s again. He is a tough pitcher with an ERA of just 2.90. In his last seven starts Lincecum has gone for nine runs from seven matches and pitched forty-four innings.
