Both sides enter the highly anticipated clash in great spirits, which should guarantee us en entertaining FA Cup final. Manchester City have an opportunity to make a good season even better by winning their first trophy in the new era, whereas the Potters are considered underdogs here, but they clearly have no problems wearing that tag.
Following some heavy spending over the last couple of years, Manchester City entered this season with high expectations, but they were soon forced to readjust their objectives. The Citizens needed a lot of time to gel, with Roberto Mancini the only one to blame for that, although they have shown a lot of improvement in the crucial stage of the season.

The Cubs and the White Sox meeting is one of the few plus points of Inter League play and although both sides can be as random as you like, I do like the pitching match up today, in which I feel its certainly favouring the Southside here. Matt Garza is 3-6 with a 4.14 ERA so far in his first season in Chicago, comes into this game handed me yet another loss this month as he grabbed the win against the Brewers last Thursday, but that wasn’t down to his pitching, more the offensive line up getting him out of trouble. Its been a tough start to the season, and I do like going against him, he seems to really be struggling with the pressure of the big money move.

At least through the first seven innings, Friday presented yet another reason to believe that good pitching trumps good hitting, a scenario that is likely to be a theme during the Giants’ three-game series in Detroit.
Entering play Friday, the Giants pitching staff ranked first in the National League in strikeouts and opponents batting average, third in ERA and had allowed the fewest homers in the Majors. The Tigers, meanwhile, ranked second in the American League in batting average, third in on-base percentage and fourth in slugging percentage, runs scored and runs per game, while tied for fifth in home runs.
On Friday, it was San Francisco left-hander Madison Bumgarner who silenced the Tigers bats through 7 1/3 innings.
